In the meeting hosted by Uhuru at the Sagana state lodge in Nyeri on Friday, Uhuru called for unity, urging the politicians to support him and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

But the lawmaker now says that according to him, the president under-performed, as he only said what he has been saying, and didn't bring out anything new in his address.

Speaking on Sunday, the lawmaker said that Uhuru said nothing out of what is already known, adding that personally, he was not satisfied by what the Head of State said.

"I have no satisfaction with what Pres. Kenyatta said in Sagana. What he said is what I've always known," he said in an interview on K24 on Sunday night.

He added that once out, himself and fellow politicians will ensure that Kenyans scrutinize the details of the report before deciding on whether to back or oppose it.

"The President said he hasn't read the BBI report so he doesn't understand what people are supporting or opposing. When it is released, he said he will print enough copies for everyone," he added.

Gachagua is among politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto who have questioned the entire BBI issue, raising concerns that it could be a plot to amend the constitution.

According to him and members of the Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee, this could be s plot to give election losers an easy way into the government through an expanded executive.
