Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta not to relent in the renewed fight against corruption.
Kalonzo wants President Kenyatta to remain firm and fearlessly spearhead the war against individuals fleecing taxpayers coffers.
In his Easter message to Kenyans on Friday, Kalonzo said corruption remains the biggest threat to the country's development agenda.
"As we celebrate this Easter, I urge President Kenyatta not to relent as he leads in the fight against the rampant corruption bedevilling the country," he said.
The former Vice President (VP) also asked President Kenyatta not lose sight on the national dialogue and reconciliation.
Kalonzo said there is a need for dialogue and reconciliation in many areas for the country to move forward.
The Wiper Party leader also urged Kenyans to support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) as it crafts the road map towards a more united and inclusive Kenya.
The Wiper leader at the same time pleaded with the national government, the private sector and development partners to urgently intervene and help mitigate the ravaging drought that has caused starvation in some parts of the country.
Kalonzo said that no life should be lost as a result of hunger and starvation.
On Thursday, the government said the drought situation is under control.
In a statement issued after a Cabinet meeting chaired by President Kenyatta, the government also warned millers against taking advantage of the drought situation to hike unga prices.
