Speaking at Tumaini conference center in Ingobor, Nakuru, the leaders led by county chairman Daniel Bett Selembu, former gubernatorial aspirant Dr. Peter Koros and former Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot said they will continue to exist as independent party. The remarks come after their party leader Isaac Ruto said he will be working with the Jubilee party. The Nakuru leaders, however, said the move will not affect the independence of the party. In a church function in Bomet county, Ruto seemed to have buried the hatch between him and Deputy President William Ruto. The DP said the Bomet ex-governor will be assigned duties by the government. The CCM leaders in Nakuru also added that they will remain a watchdog to the ruling administration.Cheruiyot took the moment to lash out to the government over the theft of public money which would have been used to address the plight of maize and tea farmers in the country. The leaders said they will start a national drive to register more members into the party.
