Emerging details have emerged on how city lawyer Tom Ojienda was tricked out of a building, arrested and later locked at the Muthaiga Police Station in Nairobi.

According to the Standard Nairobi City Council officers played a major role in the lawyer's nabbing, apparently under the orders of officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Ojienda who is facing graft allegations was reportedly inside one of the buildings withing the city before he was flushed out to his arrest.

According to the details, he was called and informed that his car packed outside had been clamped by city Askari's.

This forced him out of Barclays Plaza along Loita Street where he was running some errands, as he sought to check what the issue was.

As soon as he stepped out, officers from the DCI pounced on him and drove him to the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road and later to Muthaiga.

His car was later unclamped and his driver told to leave the scene.

The Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Ojienda will be charged with graft charges resulting to the collapse of Mumias Sugar.

This include allegedly faking court proceedings to defraud the company in legal fees payment.

He is set to be arraigned today (Monday).
