Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is the only eligible leader to lead the Kamba nation.
Mbai said so far, no Kamba leader can match Kalonzo's experience in politics.
"As a community, we need a leader. Not just a leader, but an experienced one. Who's the best shot if not Kalonzo," Mbai said.
He said Kalonzo has a higher political wave which gives him a bargaining power and say in the national politics.
"We need someone to speak on our behalf, condemn, appreciate and negotiate for us. What Kalonzo can ask for, Mutua, Katuku, Ngilu or Kibwana can't because they are below the par in negotiating power," Mbai added.
Mbai addressed the press in his constituency on Wednesday.
He said Jubilee supporters are not benefiting from the government as expected.
Mbai urged Kamba leaders to go slow on Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua in his 2022 presidential bid stating that Mutua is free to dream.
He said Monica Juma who was appointed as a permanent secretary on behalf of the Kamba was a total misplaced priority and she's of no benefit to the community.
"The president appointed Monica Juma but we Kamba people aren't seeing the importance of it. In fact, she's fighting us. We are not benefiting like people from other counties who support Jubilee," Mbai concluded.
