Kimili MP commissions classrooms donned in school uniform, barefooted

Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa commissioned newly-constructed classrooms at Daraja Mungu Primary school, while donned in full school uniform and barefooted.

In his Facebook page, Barasa shared a post and photos of what took place during the event in his constituency on Friday.

The lawmaker opened six classrooms that were constructed though Kimilili CDF.

"Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has today officially opened six classrooms at Daraja Mungu Primary School constructed by Kimilili NG-CDF," read part of the post.

The first time legislator revealed that the pupils had been using dispensary rooms as classes.

However, after the completion of construction of the new classrooms, they will pave way for equipping the dispensary by the county government of Bungoma.

"The current location of the school was set to be a dispensary. The pupils have been using the dispensary rooms as classes but with the construction of the new classrooms, the community and the pupils are set to benefit bigger as the pupils will move to the new classrooms and the dispensary will start being operational after being equipped with medical facilities and personnel by the County Government of Bungoma," noted the MP.

He further launched the construction of two more classrooms and a staffroom.

The vocal MP was dressed in school uniform belonging to the aforementioned school, as he walked barefooted.
