Kalonzo met Martin Luther King III in 2013 during his visit in the United States of America.
Martin Luther King III is the eldest son of the late Martin Luther King Jr.
It was later revealed that Kalonzo was given a book about the late Martin Luther King Jr.
The Ukambani political kingpin was also given a chance to meet investors from different parts of the World as he sought to woo them to invest in Kenya.
"They had met some time back but lost touch. Mr. King invited the VP Kalonzo to the MLK Center and presented him with a book about his father. The then VP also met investors whom he invited to Kenya for further discussions. We had arranged for him to meet his musical idol, Kenny Rogers but that did not work out," revealed a source privy to this meeting.
Kalonzo’s tour strengthened ties between this nation and USA during that time.
Martin Luther King Junior is remembered for his fight to end racism in the US.
