For years, Dr Ndii has been at loggerheads with Jubilee administration, often accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta of carrying on with 'bad legacy' of his father.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Ndii accused the old Jomo of tribalism and corruption before terming his son President Uhuru Kenyatta as 'useless', adding that he belongs to 'dustbin'.

"I am deeply offended by Jomo Kenyatta. He soiled his reputation with greed, tribalism and megalomania and what little he would have retained his useless son has pissed on. They belong to the dustbin of history, next to the Duvaliers," he tweeted.

Dr Ndii has already opposed the newly printed currency, saying that some still bear images of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta contrary to the constitutional province.

Activist Okiya Omtatah and MP Simon Mbugua have moved to court seeking orders to have the gazette notice that announced introduction of new currency declared unconstitutional.

“I have been informed of a legal challenge that has just been filed. We are going to deal with those issues as a matter of priority. There is nothing worse than having uncertainty with regards to currency matters," he said as quoted by the Standard.

Dr Ndii worked as Mr Raila Odinga's economic advisor during 2017 polls. He would drop the support later when Raila joined Uhuru.
