Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti on Monday confirmed receiving a call from the DP, claiming that a section of Cabinet Secretaries are plotting his downfall.

But Nduko who doubles up as a security expert has noted that Ruto could land in court if the claims are found to be fake by the DCI which has since taken up the matter.

"If the DCI finds that he is lying he can forward the issue to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) and have him (Ruto) charged. He is not immune to the law," he said.

The commentator made the remarks in an interview on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation Show on Wednesday morning.

He noted that the issue is a very sensitive one, which could go to the extent of dividing the nation if not well handled, thanks to the rising emotions and alarm among Ruto's supporters.

"The Deputy President is not just an ordinary person, he has supporters. This is not a simple matter, it can divide the country," Nduko further observed.

Unlike usually when his allies have been coming out to tackle all issues they believe are being engineered by his critics and rivals, Ruto's camp has been fairly silent on this one.

The Cabinet Secretaries in question are Trade's Peter Munya, James Macharia (Transport), Joe Mucheru (ICT), Sicily Kariuki (Health) and other top state bosses from Mt Kenya region.

Ruto claims that the group has been holding meetings at La Mada Hotel, claims they have admitted through Munya, but ruled out any discussions on eliminating the DP.
