The Orange Democratic Movement party is yet again mourning the demise of one of the officials, this time in Taita Taveta County.
Anastancia Wakesho Kombo, a nominated MCA for Special needs, reportedly died on Thursday morning on Jamhuri Day.
ODM has since sent condolences to the affected families and friends following the demise.
"On this Jamhuri Day, we mourn to demise (early today) of Hon. Anastancia Wakesho Mombo, our Special Elect (Nominated) MCA serving at the County Assembly of Taita Taveta," read the tweet.
"As a party we have lost a dedicated leader, women leader & people’s servant. May her Soul RIP," the party added.
The death comes at the time ODM is preparing for grassroot polls scheduled for February 2020 in which the MCAs across the country are expected to take charge of the party's campaigns.
Last month, ODM leader Raila Odinga launched digital registration exercise for the party at the new party headquarters in Lavington.
Details about the MCAs death or illness still remains scanty. The party did not issue a statement with regard to her health.
