The taskforce committee led by the Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji will after many months of waiting, finally hand over the report to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga, in an event expected to be attended by over 4000 invited guests.

However, while dismissing the launch, Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei said that he would never attend such a "kangaroo meeting" which he claimed is illegal. With assumptions made from various politicians on what the report entails, Cheruiyot is for the assumption that the report is all about constitutional amendments.

"I cannot attend such a kangaroo meeting. We know the process that must be followed to amend the constitution," the youthful Jubilee Senator who is a key ally of the Deputy President William Ruto as quoted by Nation.

The BBI report is continuing to generate too much political heat with politicians allied to Dr. Ruto openly opposing it amid claims that it is meant to create some political positions for some political elites.

President Kenyatta and former Prime Minister have, however, on several occasions dismissed such claims even as they insist that the BBI which is the product of the March 2018 handshake between them is meant to unite the country and address all problems that have bedeviled the nation since independence.
