The court has ordered Kilimani police boss to investigate the disappearance of a Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) student who was shot after he tried scaling State House wall.
It remains unclear what transpired before the student Brian Kibet went missing from the health facility.
Kibet had claimed that God sent him to kill President Uhuru Kenyatta before he was shot on the shoulder. Kibet had revealed his plan on Facebook before he stormed the place on Monday, June 10.
The student brandished a knife when he was asked by the police to surrender.
State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena later revealed that the police were probing the activities of the fifth-year Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering student.
Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, the father of the student, David Bera, revealed that he was a humble and hardworking young man. He also said that he had scored straight As before he joined the institution to pursue the course in engineering.
"Brian has always been a humble boy…he attended Nairobi School and was able to attain grade A then joined JKUAT. He, however, developed a character that is unlike him in his 3rd year…he isolated himself most of the time,” he said.
