It is double tragedy for governor Ali Korane who has been mentioned in CEC shooting probe even as Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) declared that it would revive all reported graft cases across counties.
This happens at a critical time that Korane is battling to clean his name in Mukhtar's shooting.
Late August this year, Korane was summoned to appear before the Senate Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to answer audit queries but was eventually turned away from the session over lack of the necessary documents.
In the session, Korane failed to submit the demanded documents, saying the audit queries under probe emanated from the former governor's regime.
It is now speculated that the next county to face EACC's shocker is Korane's.
If he fails to showcase his innocence again, the governor will no doubt be held accountable for the alleged graft cases.
This will eventually lead to the seizure of all his assets and even a possible freezing of his financial accounts.
