2018 was somewhat a tough year for Garissa Township Member of Parliament Aden Duale.
It is the year that he lost his sister after a long battle with a terminal ailment.
In his new year message, he called for Kenyans to be grateful, seek forgiveness and dedicate their lives to God.
Here is his prayer posted on his Facebook page:
"Happy new year 2019. The great thing about walking and believing in God is that there is always the opportunity to start a new year.
Our loving and merciful God always offers us a new day and a new dawn, no matter what has gone before.
At the start of the New Year (2019), why not take a moment to thank Him for the previous year, seek His forgiveness for where you have failed and dedicate this new year to Him - to serve Him, obedient and follow his teachings.
“Are they, then, not aware that they are being tested year-in, year-out? And yet, they do not repent and nor do they learn a lesson (from it). - (Quran 9:126)"
