Though many people celebrate the flamboyant musician, they no nothing about the journey to his success.

As the saying goes every successful person has a past to tell, so does Myello.

The 'Aka me vata' hitmaker opened a lid about his struggle to success on Friday.

Myello said he almost committed suicide due to poverty, joblessness and rejection.

He told of a story about his worst year he would never forget when he used to sleep on the floor at his brother's house.

The musician said he would borrow Sh20 to travel to town, busk and pass time crying as he pondered over his sadness.

"The year 2010 was my worst! I suffered great rejection joblessness, poverty, and hatred. I would borrow Sh20 to travel to town to bask there to just pass time. Almost everyone thought I was a waste and failure. I slept on the floor through out at my brother's house and a nearby 'mabati' church," Myello posted on his Facebook page.

Myello said if not for his brothers and sisters who stood by him at that moment, he would have taken his own life since he had hit rock bottom.

"I was convinced then that God hated me a big deal," added he.

In 2010, I was giving up. Thanks to my brothers and sisters who stood by my side not to commit suicide," Myello said.
