He said that several issues had changed courtesy of 'handshake', noting that the government had thrashed the big four agenda because some individuals who had manipulated the administration for political expediency.

The MP was speaking at a church service in Mwiki, Kasarani constituency in Nairobi county,  in an event attended by Deputy President William Ruto.

Ichungwa further opined that those who wanted the country to sacrifice peace for their selfish political gains were in for a rude shock, because no citizen was going to do that.

"Issues concerning 'handshake' never brought peace in this country. Prayers made by Christians in 2017 brought peace, and if we want lasting peace,we cannot pamper grown up men,by giving in to what they want for fear of war that might begin if we do not so," argued Ichungwa.

The legislator expressed worries over confusion in government say implementation of the 'big four' agenda had been abondoned for murky issues aimed at fighting individuals  for 2022 politics.

Concerning 2022 politics, Ichungwa remarked that Kenyans will elect leaders basing on development track record and neither politics of name-calling nor empty rhetoric.
