Led by Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, the leaders claimed that DP Ruto is desperate and should change his tactics.

“DP Ruto is now desperate begging leaders allied to opposition coalition to support him in 2022 when he will be vying for presidency.

"I am happy that he will not get the support he is begging for especially from Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Raila Odinga,” he said.

Momanyi, who was elected on a Wiper party ticket during the last year’s polls, said Ruto should be blamed for his untimely political decisions in the past.

Victor Swanya, a Nyamira County based politician said DP Ruto should forget support from opposition strongholds.

“Ruto thought he was very clever in 2013 when he dumped Raila. He must be prepared for humiliation in 2022,” said Swanya.

West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said Ruto’s 'bad' political decisions are hunting him.

“It is sad that Ruto is now loitering around seeking support from the people he dumped when they needed him most. Let him reap what he sowed," said Kemosi.

They were speaking on Sunday at a funeral in Nyamira Township ward.
