Deputy President William Ruto toured Western region on Friday where he gave out school buses to various learning institutions.
The DP, however, angered residents of Musanda in Kakamega County when he told them to stop asking him to help construct roads in the area.
Ruto, instead asked the residents to tell Raila to build the roads in Musanda as they overwhelmingly voted for him during the August 8, general election.
"When you want roads, you look for Ruto, but when it comes to election time, you say Tibim," said Ruto.
'Tibim' is a term that was widely used by Raila and other leaders in the National Super Alliance fraternity during campaigns for the August 8 general polls.
Ruto is on charm offensive making alliances with key leaders in all the regions in the country as he bolsters his support base ahead of the 2022 general election.
He is taking no chances as he has seemingly kicked off his campaigns because he foreshadows to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House in about four years time.
Ruto differed with Raila during the grand coalition government and he proceeded to form an alliance with Uhuru, a combination that trounced Raila at the ballot in 2013 and in 2017.
