In an exclusive interview in Kisumu on Wednesday, Swagga said that Jumwa should respect the ODM leadership, even as the party takes disciplinary measures against her for ‘flirting’ with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 general elections.

Swagga warned her against wedging any political war against Odinga, adding that she will fail miserably.

“You cannot fight with Baba (Raila) and win. President Uhuru tried and later said let me work together with Baba, Moi tried and retired. Kibaki tried and said let us have a coalition government,” he said.

Last week, Jumwa grabbed a microphone from ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, while the latter was addressing mourners during a funeral ceremony in Malindi.

Sifuna was speaking about consequences of any elected leader going against ODM party policies.

“This is the 21st century. We are not supposed to grab a microphone from another speaker. Aisha Jumwa is a very small fish. She should leave Baba and the ODM Pprty alone,” said Swagga.

The first-term MCA is one of Raila’s loyal supporters in Kisumu County.
