Nyamira gubernatorial loser Walter Nyambati has reportedly fired his lawyer as Supreme Court battle looms.
Mr. Nyambati, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta, had filed a petition at Supreme Court challenging elections of Governor John Nyagarama.
And a lawyer who has been handling his case, Mr. Osoro Mogikoyo, has reportedly been relieved off his duties.
"He didn't appear during Appeals Court ruling. Mzee fired him and we are not working with Omwansa Ombati," an aide confirmed.
But in a rejoinder, Mr. Mogikoyo rubbished the claims insisting that it was not a must he appear for ruling of a case.
Further, he said that Mr. Nyambati had given him a bouncing cheque for his earlier services.
"I assigned someone to pick the ruling so it wasn't a must I appear on person. Further, he had not paid me for services rendered in previous appearances," he said.
On Monday, Nyambati's case was pushed to September 24th for mentioning by the Supreme Court after he asked for more time.
