The Ford Kenya party is from today (Monday, July 16th) set to kick off a tour of the larger coast region.

Led by its party leader Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, Ford Kenya leadership will meet grassroot leaders and hold a series of events in the the coast region which will be culminated by a meeting with the coast leadership, elected members and supporters.

In communication, Ford Kenya National Organising Secretary Chris Mandu said the is part of the strategy to increase Ford Kenya support base across the nation.

Earlier last month, Wetangula alongside his Ford Kenya brigade toured Taita Taveta, Mombasa and Kilifi counties in a bid to popularize his party, where he met 2022 Ford Kenya potential political aspirants.

During the visit, Wetangula called for the disbanding of the National Youth Service (NYS) over the fresh scandal, saying it has become a cash-cow for individuals tasked with looking after the welfare of the youth.

Wetangula has since declared that he will vie for presidency in 2022.
