Former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has jibed Kanu Chairman and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi over his 2022 Presidential ambition.
Midiwo said that Moi is “lazy” because he is riding his presidential ambition on his father’s legacy, retired President Daniel Moi instead of working for it on his own.
Speaking on NTV’s AM Live show Tuesday, the former ODM MP said that, “Trying to make Gideon a leader is basically trying to force him to drink milk and he wants to drink something else. He doesn’t like this milk.”
He added: “He is lazy and I am sorry for his father”.
Midiwo said the Baringo Senator should be out fighting for his political space in regards to 2022 State House race like other leaders.
“People are out here fighting for political power. Come out, don’t do it around your father. You are a grown man,” remarked Midiwo.
This comes days after President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the retired President at his Kabarak home over the weekend.
Uhuru’s visit has sparked controversy from various quarters who hypothetically read 2022 politics in the visit.
Moi is positioning himself to vie against Deputy President William Ruto in 2022, a move that has sparked political rivalry among them.
