And with current kingpin and opposition leader Raila Odinga, recently making a move which most Kenyans would term as wrong by backing the fuel price increment amendment, he could make a big move by taking off with the majority of the region’s voters who are disgruntled after the additional burden on their pockets.
He is as well a known political survivor who came to power in 2013 on the little-known People’s Democratic Party (PDP), beating Odinga’s dominant Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Using the same tactics and mobilization skills, he could easily outwit the other leaders eyeing the top post after Odinga’s nearing exit from active politics.
