Garissa Women Representative Anab Subow has warned against rivalry and division among clan elders in the county.
Subow instead wants clan elders to champion unity and peaceful co-existence among residents.
Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Friday, the MP warned that clan rivalry will threaten peace and hinder development.
She alleged that some clan elders are spreading propaganda meant to cause disunity among residents.
“We must respect each other and champion unity and peace among our different clans and sub clans,” she said.
Subow said that there is no clan that is superior than the other.
The Jubilee Women Rep urged elders and elected leaders to stop propagating propaganda.
She asked residents to expose elders allegedly spewing hatred.
