Kitutu Masaba Member of Parliament Shadrack Mose has thrown his weight behind the 2022 presidential ambitions of Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
Speaking in Ekerenyo in North Mugirango, during a women empowerment forum, the legislator assured the deputy president of the support of the people of Nyamira and Kisii counties irrespective of whatever happens in the future.
"We will walk with with you until that time comes so that we can take you to State House. (Tutatembea na wewe kidete mpaka tuhakikishe hio wakati ikifika sisi tuanpatia wewe, tunaingiza wewe state house kwa nguvu)," Shadrack Mose said.
The legislator assured the deputy president that President Uhuru Kenyatta would not renege on his promise to support Ruto's 2022 presidential ambitions.
He said that among the leaders who had an interest in contesting the presidency in 2022, Deputy President William Ruto is the only one who was keen on developing counties inhabited by members of the Kisii community.
Nyamira and Kisii counties have, by and large, voted for veteran opposition and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
DP Ruto has been making visits to the counties in a bid to reduce Raila Odinga's influence and boost his chances of ascending to the presidency in the 2022 general elections.
