An elected in Nyamira County MP has claimed that Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid is clipped.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemos,i speaking after attending a funeral in Bonyunyu village, Bogichora in Nyamira County, said Mr Ruto should be prepared to go home in 2022.
"Matiang'is elevation is a blow to Mr Ruto. It means President Uhuru Kenyatta will not endorse DP Ruto for the country's top seat in the 2022 general elections," noted the NASA allied MP.
Kemosi claimed that President Kenyatta 'demoted' DP Ruto because he (Ruto) has been misusing his office traversing the country every weekend pretending that he is launching projects which doesn't exist.
"We will not be seeing Mr. Ruto loitering across the county the way he has been doing since Matiang'i will be responsible of coordinating and supervising national government development projects," he added.
The Ford Kenya party elected legislator reiterated that Matiang'i promotion is a major win to the Gusii community.
"As a community it is a big privilege for Matiang'i to serve at the powerful position. It is high time elected leaders from the community to take advantage of Matiang'i's new role in government to push for development," stated Kemosi.
