Cherengany MP Joshua Kutuny is one of Deputy President William Ruto’s fierce critics in the Rift Valley region.
Kutuny won re-election in 2017 election after losing the seat in 2013 and has be attacking DP Ruto and politicians allied to team ‘tanga tanga’ over the 2022 succession politics.
But as Kutuny continues his attacks on DP Ruto and his allies, he could be unknowingly be digging his own political grave ahead of the 2022 general election.
The MP’s Cherengany constituency plays to DP Ruto’s political tune, a situation that could dent Kutuny’s future political ambitions if he does not stop his attacks.
The vocal MP won the 2017 election courtesy of Jubilee party and his persistent attacks on the deputy president could ne interpreted as rebellion.
Kutuny is unlikely to win the parliamentary seat in 2022 if he remains in Jubilee or opts to decamp the ruling party in favour of another outfit.
The alleged entry of Kipruto Arap Kirwa into the Cherengany politics should send Kuttuny back to the political drawing board.
Kirwa is a political force to reckon with and could give the lawmaker run for his money in 2022.
A section of DP Ruto’s allies has already endorsed Kirwa for the parliamentary seat in 2022 election.
Unless Kutuny tones down and change his political tactics, he could as well be bidding bye bye to the parliamentary seat come 2022.
However in politics nothing is predictable and Kutuny might as well change tactics in the run up to the much anticipated 2022 election.
