Moi University plans to shut down another campus in the latest radical move to cut down on its costs.
Last year, the institution closed Kericho and Nakuru campuses which had the lowest number of students to comply with a government directive.
And this year it closed the Adero Akongo campus and has the students being relocated to main and West campuses in Eldoret.
Kitale campus might be closed soon and students pursuing mainly Agricultural related courses would be relocated to the main campus in Kesses.
The students reacted on the same issue on their famous WhatsApp group Moi comrades forum.
These are some of their reactions:
"Wacha twende main campus kwani iko nini," Winne were posted.
"Kitale campus is below standards...twende main campus," Henry Maina said.
This place is not good for us...main campus ndani," Kevin Kimani noted.
"Main campus....andi kieleweke alaa," Joy Ntinyari posted.
The institution is aiming at consolidating its resources on five campuses - main campus, Kesses, Annex campus, Nairobi campus, Pwani and West campus.
Vice Chancellor Prof Isaac Kosgey is keen in bringing reforms to the institution by consolidating its resources and boost the quality of education at the institution.
The institution wants to achieve what other institutions like Kenyatta University have achieved in the next few years.
