Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i's woes seems unending following latest report by Senate PAC over Sh3.2 Ruaraka land saga.
The Moses Kajwang led committee implicated Matiang'i along with Belio Kipsang, giving EACC and DPP three months to investigate their roles in the purchase of the land.
Already, Matiang'i is facing uphill task in ascertaining his sentiments that imported sugar contained traces of mercury.
While his lawyer Martin Oloo has dismissed the report, submissions by Matiang'i's colleagues Amina Mohammed and Farida Karoney could throw him in hot soup.
While appearing before the committee, Ms. Mohammed wondered why Matiang'i purchased the land hurriedly despite a Quantity Survey report that indicated it was a public utility.
On her part, Lands CS Ms. Karoney also insisted that the land belonged to the public further implicating the no-nonsense CS.
With his survival now at stake, Matiang'i has however received backing from a section of Nyamira leaders led by Borabu MP Ben Momanyi.
According to the lawmakers, Matiang'i could be a targeted of anti-reformists in government.
