South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro stated that EACC has failed Kenyans in the fight against corruption and should stop harassing Governor Obado.

"I don't think EACC's decision to raid Obado's house is right on claims of fighting corruption. Obado is a leader elected by the people of Migori and he should be given time to serve the people," he said.

The lawmaker maintained that no matter what, Mr. Obado will remain to be the governor until 2022.

According to the MP, Obado's embarrassment is political.

"Politicians behind Obado's frustrations need to know that the more they are using police to embarrass him, the more he is becoming famous. Obado must be respected as the county boss and unnecessary raids to his home must stop," said Osoro.

He maintained that EACC is using the governor's previous misfortunes to frustrate him.

"Obado is facing hard times just because he opposed ODM party decisions to give a direct ticket to Ochillo Ayacko for the senatorial by-election. It was his right to oppose and the party should not see him as the enemy," he added.
