The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has again taken issue with Migori Governor Okoth Obado over his opposition of the party’s recent decision.

ODM has since nominated former Cabinet Minister Ochilo Ayacko as its candidate for the looming Migori senatorial by-election, a move that has been opposed by the Governor.

Speaking on Radio Citizen early Monday, the party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna hit out at Obado, accusing him of contravening the party laws.

He bashed the leader for poorly communicating his dissatisfaction, accusing him of disobeying the party laws which compel each member to obey the outfit's organ's decisions.

‘’As an ODM member, you have duty to obey regular decisions made by the party. It is sad that a whole Governor can fail to follow these guidelines and take to a public event to air his dissatisfaction,’’ he said.

He advised the Governor to embrace the provided complaint channeling avenues, adding that he is a privileged person whose recent move is most likely malicious.

‘’Huyu ni mtu anaweza  nipigia simu ama kiongozi yeyote wa chama afikishe malalamishi yake. Pia atumie lugya ya kuunganisha na sio kusambaratisha chama (he should have embraced more civiliced ways and must also desist from using destructive arguments),’’ added Sifuna.
