A good samaritan is pleading with fellow Kenyans to help her trace the family of a mentally ill woman who is stranded in the streets of Mombasa.
Mercy Somba who resides in Mombasa County took it to her social media accounts to appeal for help from the public to aid in finding the family of Joyce Mwikali who hails from Machakos County.
According to the photos of the 39-year-old circulating online, the mentally ill Joyce Mwikali is heavily pregnant with no trace of a friend or relatives.
According to a Facebook post on Mercy Somba's page, the woman who has been begging for food from Mombasa City residents never takes money from people but accepts foodstuff from them.
"The lady is a beggar here in Mombasa outside BIMA Tower, she is expectant and she really needs help. She never takes money from anyone but only foodstuff. Several people have tried to approach her though she is very violent," Somba posted.
"Please watu wa Machakos, Mwala sub-county specifically Mango, please help us get her relatives," reads the post in part.
Anyone who knows her or her relatives is urged to come to her rescue.
