This was the first time the duo visited the region which has been the bedrock of opposition politics since the famous March 9 handshake.

It was during the much publicised tour that Uhuru revealed that together with his 'brother' Raila they have agreed on three things, which he observed were all aimed at transforming the lives of Kenyans.

In a statement, the Head of State named inclusivity, unity and fight on corruption as the key goals they will strive to achieve after their historic reunion.

"As leaders, we must all strive to prioritize the needs of our people. This is why my brother Raila Odinga and I came together to promote unity and continue with our country's development agenda, politics should not be above the needs of Wananchi," he noted.

The Jubilee party leader observed that graft has found its way in almost all sectors of the economy and warned the corrupt against politicising war on corruption.

"We have agreed, that we will unite in the war against corruption. The corrupt belong in jail regardless of their tribe, and we will continue to support our institutions to bring to book every one who is culpable," he stated.

On inclusivity, Uhuru challenged leaders to shun tribalism and focus their energies on improving the welfare of all Kenyans.

"It is our duty as leaders to ensure that every Kenyan is included in our development agenda. This includes affordable healthcare, connection to electricity, proper education, improved infrastructure, food security and more job opportunities," said the President.
