South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro has pointed an accusing finger at Governor James Ongwae's leadership saying it has not done much in upgrading stadiums in the county.
Giving Nyamarambe stadium as an example of a well-built stadium in South Mogirango, the vocal MP who is a close ally of William Ruto also said that this impacted the level of nurturing talent in the county.
"The county government has not really done much in terms of uplifting our stadiums to nurture the talents. The only stadium that is workable at the moment is Nyamarambe stadium," Osoro said in his constituency.
He officially launched a football tournament.
"We are calling on the county government to fast track the development in stadiums. I don't really know how the budget allocations are done at the county level and what criteria they use but I have to say that Ongwae hasn't done much in South Mugirango," he added as reported by Egesa FM.
Osoro said talks to have the best two teams compete in the Kenya Premier League to aid the Shabana FC are at an advanced stage.
