Speaking during an interview with Capital FM, DCI boss George Kinoti said that the suspect, Solomon Mutava Wambua, is believed to have driven the priest's car from Embu to Kilifi after his murder.

Kinoti further revealed that the detectives have identified a house in Mwea, Embu where the priest might have been killed.

A sharp knife believed to be the murder weapon was found in a pit latrine at the house. Police also found bloodstained clothes in the house. The items were taken to the government chemist for further forensic analysis.

“They must face justice, we have no doubt that the suspects in custody played a role in this murder,” said Kinoti as quoted by Capital FM

The detectives are piecing up evidence to charge the suspects with the murder of the priest. However, the motive behind the priest's murder still remains unclear.

On Monday, the detectives arrested another suspect, Michael Muthini Mutunga, who is believed to have killed the priest.

The priest's body was found buried in a shallow grave near a river in Embu.
