Migori Governor Okoth Obado finally reported back on duty after almost two months absence, it has emerged.

The county boss was remanded at Industrial Area prison for over 34 days following allegations linking him to the death of Sharon Otieno, his girlfriend at that time.

Last week, Justice Jessie Lessit freed Mr. Obado on Sh5 million bail besides issuing tough conditions such has restricting his movements between Migori and Homa Bay Counties, adding that he could not move 20 kilometres near the border.

On Friday, the governor landed in Migori airstrip secretly and moved to his rented apartment in Migori popularly known as State House.

A day later, Obado was among people who attended church service at Upper Hill SDA in Migori, catching locals unaware.

But on Monday, he was driven to his office at 8am with several county officials turning up to usher him in.

Mr. Obado, who is facing murder charges, will return to Nairobi in May for the trial of Sharon Otieno's murder. His aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero are still in remand awaiting trial.
