Renowned Somali lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has rubbished claims that his law firm is being investigated for tax evasion.
The lawyer has termed the claims on social media as malicious and meant to taint his name and career.
According to Ahmednasir, he has not been summoned by any state agency over tax evasion as being propagated on social media.
He argues that his law firm has been complying with relevant laws on tax issues.
"Those are baseless claims meant to taint and damage my career," he said.
The Somali lawyer said that he will not be intimidated or distracted by propagandists.
He said that some people are jealous of his career success and are using propaganda to bring him down.
Ahmednasir is among famous and wealthiest lawyers in the country.
He has represented high-profile individuals in court cases.
In 2017, he represented President Uhuru Kenyatta in the presidential petition that was filed by opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Ahmednasir specialises in constitutional law and is currently representing former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti in an appeal filed by Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua at the Supreme Court.
