Kenya's Emerging Stars will face Sudan in the second round qualification, after the two were drawn together, in what will also serve as 2020 Olympics qualifiers.
Kenya, who had beaten Mauritius 8 -1 on an aggregate, will renew their rivalry against Sudan in March, next year.
Sudan is coached by former Gor Mahia (2012) and AFC Leopards (2015) Croatian tactician Zdravko Logarusic, who took the reigns of the national team last year.
Emerging Stars last played Sudanese lads in 2017 during the under 20 Cup of Nations qualifiers, where the match ended in a 1 -1 stalemate.
And it promises to be fireworks in the first round to be played in Khartoum, bearing in mind that Kenya was disqualified in the second round after Sudan complained against Kenya's fielding of ineligible players.
Sudan will host the first leg to be played between 18 - 26, March.
In case Kenya prevails against Sudan, they will play the winner between Nigeria and Libya in the third round of qualifiers slated for 3rd to 11th June 2019.
After the third round, the seven nations will join host Egypt in the final of the under 23 Cup of Nations in November 2019.
The best three teams will represent Africa in the 2020 Tokyo, Japan Olympic Games.
