Osman while speaking in Nyamira town on Thursday regretted that several passengers have died because of the careless drivers.

"Kemera accident on Wednesday evening is a wake-up call for drivers to drive safely. Careless drivers will have their licences revoked and they will never be issued again," he stated.

The furious commander warned drivers against drunk-driving saying police manning roadblocks will not spare drunk drivers anymore.

"We don't want to lose more people especially during this festive season where people are travelling to various parts to celebrate Christmas with their loved ones. Officers guarding roadblocks will be on high alert to ensure no driver is driving under the influence of alcohol," Osman added.

He insisted that the newly introduced rules famously known as Michuki rules must be adhered to accordingly by PSVs and personal cars.

The traffic commander called on passengers travelling to various parts not to keep quiet whenever they are in a vehicle being driven carelessly.
