Likoni MP Mishi Mboko and Coast based human rights groups Haki Africa and Muslim for Human Rights (Muhuri) have strongly condemned Tuesday's terrorist attack at Dusit D2 Hotel in Riverside Drive, Nairobi.

The 3pm attack left scores injured and several other people feared dead after at least four gunmen entered Riverside Complex and started shooting aimlessly.

Below are statements from Mishi and the two organisations. 

Mishi wrote:

HAKI Africa stands firmly with all Kenyans to condemn the cowardly attack witnessed at 14 Riverside drive.

 Such attacks have no place in modern society and outrightly violate the rights of innocent people.

We stand firmly with our security forces as they continue to ensure safety of all who were at 14 Riverside drive and all Kenyans across the country.

HAKI Africa calls on Kenyans to remain vigilant, united and patriotic as we also pray for those affected by the attack.

We are encouraged by the courageous and speedy response of our security agencies and first responders at the scene and our prayers and all thoughts is with them as they do their best to deal with the situation.

We pray for calm and peace of mind for all those that are affected by these shocking developments.
