Son of long-serving Tindiret politician Henry Kosgei has indicated that he will be vying for the Nandi gubernatorial seat in 2022.

Allan Kosgei who unsuccessfully vied for Kesses Member of Parliament seat in 2017 is said to have started making inroads to his home county by attending to various initiatives including youth empowerment and social functions.

Insiders indicate that Kosgei's political momentum is gathering pace ahead of the 2022 polls.

“Allan Kosgei can be felt all over across Nandi County and he is going to to be the next governor. We are determined and ready to support him as youths for the betterment of Nandi County,” Biwott Duncan, a local in the county said.

Several politicians are said to be eying the gubernatorial seat in 2022 among them Aldai MP Cornel Serem and his Nandi Hills counterpart Alfred Keter as well as Senator Samson Cherargei.

They are expected to battle with youthful governor Stephen Sang who will be seeking his second term in office.
