Samuel Omwando argued that DP Ruto is misusing the tag a a clever way of hoodwinking Kenyans.

He termed DP Ruto as a 'notorious thief' who if elected the next President in 2022, the country's economy will be impaired.

"DP Ruto is lying to Kenyans that he is an hustler yet he is not. We all know who he is and his dealings. Kenyans need not to listen to his hustler claims since he is using the name to steal public monies," said Omwando.

The Kisii County ODM chairman maintained that the decision by Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to phase out the Sh1,000 note is inevitable.

He argued that corrupt leaders who have stolen public money will be nabbed.

"There is no doubt DP Ruto is keeping stolen money in his house and we will get to know the money will be taken for exchange," said Omwando.

Omwando vied for Kitutu Chache South MP seat in 2017 but lost to the incumbent Richard Onyonka.

He was speaking at Nyakoe hotel on Wednesday.
