The newly-appointed African Union head of Infrastructure reached a truce with his main rival Uhuru Kenyatta in March this year, bringing him closer to the side.

On Friday, he joined both Uhuru and Ruto whose allies have been complaining that his presence in the equation could destroy the Deputy President’s 2022 presidential ambition for a meal in Karen.

Speaking in Mathira, Nyeri County on Sunday, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said that the party is seeking ways to utilise Raila for party success in the coming 2022 polls.

Murkomen who doubles up as one of Ruto’s top confidants said that Raila could be very important in helping Ruto ascend to the presidency in the much-anticipated race.

‘’We in Jubilee believe Raila can be beneficial to Ruto in his 2022 presidential bid. We can use his acumen to realise Ruto’s ambition,’’ he was quoted by the Standard.

Murkomen accompanied the three in the event that happened at the Deputy President's official residence after a joint attendance during the requiem mass of departed Maendeleo ya Wanawake Chair Joyce Kiano at ACK St Francis Church in Karen.

The realisation of the plan, however, only time can tell as though he remains silent on his 2022 plans, Raila is expected to take his fifth shot at the post in a race that will put him against Ruto.
