Ruto, who sources said he was without his full security detail, attended a wedding involving two prominent Indian families the Simba Club.

The Standard on Saturday said the two families have business interests in Western Kenya.

In a video seen by this writer, Ruto showers praise to the lovebirds.

“We have come here to celebrate the two youngsters who are in the process of forming their family, which is a unit of socialisation in our society,” Ruto said.

Political pundits said that Ruto’s moves and networks show he is a man determined to take over power after President Uhuru Kenyatta retires.

“Ruto is creating all the networks needed to win power in Africa. You might say he was attending a wedding, but look whose wedding he was attending. These are called stakeholders in Africa’s political set up,” Jeff Kiogora said.
