Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to step up the fight against corruption in 2019.
The Ukambani political kingpin wants the Head of State not to spare anyone involved or linked to corruption.
The former Vice President said President Kenyatta has Kenyans' blessings in the fight against graft.
Speaking on Speakers' Gallery Show hosted by former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim on Ebru TV on Tuesday, Kalonzo said the president has the political goodwill in the fight against corruption.
"The Jubilee government has so far done well in the fight against graft and I urge the president to be fearless and merciless in 2019 as far as corruption is concerned," Kalonzo said.
The Wiper Party leader said that president Kenyatta will leave a commendable legacy in 2022 if he wins the fight against corruption.
Kalonzo urged the agencies involved in fight against corruption to focus more on recovering stolen public funds.
He said Kenyans have confidence in agencies that are mandated to fight graft.
Kalonzo heaped praise on the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti for spearheading the war against graft.
President Kenyatta says his government is committed in the fight against corruption.
Several top government officials linked to graft scandals have been charged in court this year.
More arrests and prosecutions of graft lords is expected in 2019, according to DPP Haji.
