A 64 year old man in Manyatta lost his life after his son made a joke on Facebook.
According to the post, his son identified as Michael Khasino died in an accident while traveling to Kakamega to play football for his college team.
"I am Michael's friend. Whoever is reading this post should know that he is dead after a fatal accident. He was traveling to Kakamega for a football match between his team and a club in Kakamega," read the post.
Friend and relatives kept commenting on the post, asking if the information was credible.
When the news reached his father, he collapsed and later died in the hospital while receiving treatment.
The doctor said his blood pressure was high.
However, while all that happened, the dead son took to Facebook an hour later to post a picture of him smiling in class notifying that someone hacked his Facebook account.
"I am in class alive and kicking. Sorry pals, someone hacked my account," read the second post.
When the news of his father's death broke out, his schoolmate exposed him on social media, saying he was with them when he posted the joke that killed his dad.
"Michael you did it on your own. You can't deny. I saw you," read the post.
Recently, people have been posting weary stuff on Facebook before they apologize saying some has hacked their accounts.
