It is a new beginning for Bula Technical football club after local politician fulfilled a promise of purchasing full sports kits for the team.
Garissa Woman Representative Anab Subow Gure has finally fulfilled her promise and delivered full sports attire to the club.
Issuing her statement on Facebook, Gure revealed that her latest move was a show of commitment towards empowering local youths through sports.
"Donated full sports kits to Bulla Technical football club in Garissa town. This was a promise I took from them earlier this month when they visited my office," Gure wrote.
She further promised to conduct a similar exercise in the remaining sub-counties to benefit all youths in the county.
"My commitment to empowering the youth through co-curricular activities especially in sports tournaments still continues and will conduct in remaining sub-counties," she added.
Gure's latest action comes barely a day after the Garissa Township was appointed patron of another club from the region.
Considering the twin developments, it is obvious that the North Eastern region will soon feature in the Kenya Premier League after decades of being left out.
At the moment, not a single player from Noth Eastern plays for any time taking part in the country's top league.
