Deputy President William Ruto has once again told off those criticizing his many cross-country trips, saying that he is only doing his work.
The DP has been under questioning, especially by members of the opposition over his trips, some of whom have accused him of engaging in early campaigns.
However, speaking in Trans Nzoia and Bungoma Counties on Saturday, he card upon his critics to cease attacking him, welcoming anyone unhappy with his tours to bring their complains.
"Anybody complaining that I have done his duties should [let me know]. Let everyone do their work," he was quoted by the Nation.
He also discouraged leaders against being divided down their affiliation lines, stressing on the need for all leaders from all political sides to unite and work together.
Ruto said that there is need for the country to come first, advising that ethnicity and political affiliations should not prevent them from serving the nation.
“We are from different political parties but are here today because of development. We must embrace the spirit of unity if we are to address the challenges our people are facing, irrespective of ethnic and political affiliations,” he added.
The opposition has also been questioning Ruto's many fundraisers across the nation, almost on a weekly basis, questioning the source of his harambee funds.
