Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has blasted Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru over the filthy state of Kerugoya hospital.
Speaking on Monday morning at Citizen TV's daybreak show, the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader advised Waiguru to have employees on contract in order to amicably solve some emergent concerns.
"Governor Waiguru should go there and supervise the cleaning of the hospital. County governments are not meant to be abstract administration at the lower level. They are supposed to be practical and with the people.
"It should be easier for governors to get employees on contracts to deal with such situations. This is completely unacceptable; you cannot leave a hospital to reach such a state," he said.
The pathetic state of Kerugoya hospital came to light over the weekend, after the county government sacked over 200 workers leaving the health facility in a very sorry state.
Governor Waiguru reiterated that she will form a task force to give a report over the state of the hospital.
