When murder suspects Jacque Maribe and her lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie appeared before the high court on October 9, Jowie wowed hearts after he showed his caring and protective nature towards his girl.
When he realized that Maribe was shedding tears, he moved closer to her and protected her from the flashing cameras. He was also seen gesturing for a handkerchief or tissue to wipe her tears.
His hand on Jacque’s back consoling her did not also miss the eyes of Kenyans and immediately became a topic of discussion on social media.
And true to Jowie’s moves, it seems there is no love lost between the two despite the grave charge facing them.
In a statement Maribe made to police investigating the murder of Monica Kimani at her Kilimani home, the ex-news anchor still identifies Jowie as her lover.
“Joseph Kuria Irungu alias Jowie is my fiancé whom we got engaged in the month of June 2018. The first time I met Jowie was in mid 2017 at a Jubilee Party function at Bomas of Kenya, and later at Kasarani, also in a Jubilee Party function,” Maribe said in a statement as quoted by Daily Nation.
